G E N E R A L I N F O R M A T I O N
This show for Purebred Arabian horses is governed by the Rules for Conduct of Shows as established by the European Arab Horse Show Commission (EAHSC) of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organization (ECAHO). These rules will be applied in their entirety and included in the schedule. (Kindly read them carefully by seeing the enclosed annex).

Conditions of Entry:
§ The show is open to all Purebred Arabian horses registered in any WAHO recognized studbook by the closing date of entries. Registries are responsible to confirm the date of registration.
§ Under EAHSC Rules, classes with over 16 entries will be split into two sections, and with fewer than 5 entries will be merged with the next age group (younger or older) of the same sex. The age groups of 5, 6 & 13, 14 may be rearranged to overcome any undue imbalance in the size of classes.
Closing Date of Entries:
The closing date of the entries will be on 20th February, 2009. NO Late, phone or incomplete entries will be accepted! Any horse whose details are not printed in the catalogue is not allowed to start.
A separate entry form must be filled in by type-writer for each horse, and if more than one form needed, please copy the form.
Copies of the presently valid registration documents/horse passport (including pedigree) and the vaccination pages must be enclosed.

Judging Method:
Depending on 5 topics 20 points system is giving by each
judge
(In hand classes)
for the following criteria: [half points are applicable]
§ Mark from 1 20 for Type
§ Mark from 1 20 for Head & Neck
§ Mark from 1 20 for Body & Topline
§ Mark from 1 20 for Legs
§ Mark form 1 20 for Movement
The marks (including half points) awarded by each judge will be added up and divided by the number of judges.
Judging Procedures:
Classes will be judged by a panel of six judges who will be rotated throughout the classes. The highest as well as the lowest of the averages of notation given by the judges will be cancelled.
b) In the event of a tie in the qualifying places, the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points for type. If there is still a tie, then the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points in movement. Failing a decision on either of these, one judge chosen by ballot will name his preference.
Rules for Championships:
Championships will take place on the third day afternoon and will be judged comparatively as follows:
v Horses placed first and second in each class will be qualified for the appropriate championship.
v D1) When the Gold Champion has been selected the Silver & Bronze Champions will be selected in the same way from all the other horses that have been qualified for the championships.
Rules for ties in Championships:
v In the event of a tie in the qualifying places, the higher place will be given to the horse with the highest total in qualifying classes. If there is still a tie, the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points for type. If there is still a tie, then the higher place will be given to the horse with the most points in movement. Failing a decision on either of these, one judge chosen by ballot will name his preference.
Disciplinary Matters:
ECAHO dose not recommend that any form of medication be given to horses prior to the show. Forbidden substances are listed in Appx.IV of the FEI Veterinary Regulations.
Random veterinary tests will be carried out at any time during the show.
Owners and trainers will be held the entire responsibility for any misuse of the EAHSC Rules for Conduct of Shows.
Actions which result from the breaching of these rules will be referred to the Standing Disciplinary Committee that is empowered to take any such action as is necessary in accordance with rules for Standing Disciplinary Committee.
The giving in of veterinary certificate at the show will not exonerate owners or trainers from their responsibilities as defined in the Rules for Conduct of Shows.
Rosettes and Trophies:
All the class winners (1st 5th place) will receive a placing rosettes and trophies.
Special rosettes will be given to the champion and reserve champion along with unique trophies of a horse statue.
Champions will be awarded a blanket of roses and the garlands will be given to Reserve Champions.
Starting Order:
The show organizers will decide the starting order according to the date of foal and NOT by ballot or by the order in which entries are received.
The show organizer will decide the list of classes and their sections if a section is necessary.
Classes will be merged in case of less than 5 entries in a class, and will be split into two sections if its over 16.
Training venue & timetable:
Training of horses will be in the warm up arena ONLY according to a certain time to be decided later on by the Higher Organizing Committee.

GROOMS:
The O.C. kindly requests the names of the grooms
to be sent with entries.
Accommodation and meals: from 25th to 29th March 2009 near the stables
at O.C. expense.
Sufficient sanitary and showering facilities for
male and female grooms, with hot and cold water, will be provided by the O.C.
HORSES:
Transport expenses:
At the participant's expenses, EXCEPT for those which will be transported by
plane to Sharjah International Airport. In this case, the O.C. will provide
their transport from the Airport to Show Ground and vice-versa.
Stabling arrangements:
from 24th to 29th March 2009. Costs of stabling and bedding will be at
the O.C. expenses.
WELCOME:
The O.C. kindly request to be informed with the
estimating time and date of arrival, the names of persons and Transport Company
must be sent one week before the commencement of the event, in order to assist
the persons on arrival.
Local transportation -
Arrangements from Hotel to Show grounds:
The O.C. provides the public transport for all
delegations from Hotel to the club and vice-versa.
DOCTOR, VETERINARIAN AND FARRIER:
Two ambulances with doctor will be available during the Event.
Veterinarian will be available 24 hours in the vicinity of the stables area.
Farrier will be available daily 8:00-12:00 hours and one hour before every
competition till the end of the competition.
LIABILITY DISCLAIMER:
The organizer accepts no liability for exhibitors costs. The organizers shall
not be liable for death, injury, disease or damage to any person, horse or
property however caused. It is furthermore an express condition of entry that
each entrant shall indemnify the organizers against all actions, costs, claims,
demands or liability whatsoever arising out of any action in which he or she may
be concerned.
EVENT'S ORGANIZATION:
In exceptional circumstances, the O.C. reserves the right to modify the schedule
in order to clarify any matters or matters arising from an omission or due to
unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes must be notified to all competitors
and officials as soon as possible and must be reported to the concern committee.
ENTRY RIGHT TO SHOWGROUNDS:
Special identification cards for the right of entry to show grounds will be
given to:
Officials, Owners, Handlers, Veterinarians, Grooms, Riders and any other persons
will be available at the Show Secretariat.
DISPUTES:
In the event of any dispute concerning the interpretation of the schedule (in
translated languages), the English version will be decisive.
COMPLAINTS:
Complaints will be dealt with in accordance with ECAHO Rules, except that no money needs to be lodged in the event of an alleged incorrect calculation of results. The organizer reserves the right to merge, divide, or cancel classes and championships in accordance with the above mentioned Rules for Conduct of Shows.
DOCUMENTS:
All horses must be free of infections and must come from a home stock, free of epidemic disease. They must be vaccinated against INFLUENZA according to FEI Rules. The vaccination certificate is to be presented.
A copy
of the Vaccination Certificate and photocopies of the registration document
and/or passport with graphic description have to be sent to the show organizer
together with the entry form. There will be strict control for the registration
documents/passports and veterinary-certificate at the show grounds.
